"When my fiance and i decided to buy a ring, we had no idea what we were doing! I had tried to do a lot of research beforehand - I was interested in understanding diamonds, and did not want to get ripped off. We went to Barsky first because of all the good reviews here. Within an hour, we were putting a deposit on my ring and shaking hands. The ring was on my finger in a little over a week. Our salesman (Mark) was very friendly, knowledgable, and listened to exactly what I wanted and exactly what we had to spend. He was very patient with us, even let us have some time to ourselves to discuss the purchase - which was nice to do without the pressure of a salesman looming overhead. The ring itself looks amazing, it's a simple solitaire, but I get compliments on it all the time - the stone is clearly an excellent quality. I can't compare Barsky to other places on Jeweler's row, but I am so glad we went there first. We never once felt pressured or concerned that we weren't getting a good deal. We are absolutely going back when it's time to buy our wedding bands."

"OMG, this is all I can say about this place, we got my Ring here, they made the WEDDING band and let me tell you it's something the Queen of England would have.. I love the people that work here, and all the Barsky's Family members you all ROCK!!!!!!"

"As far as jewelers are concerened, I truly believe that this is as good as it gets. Like car repairmen, can we agree that most jewelers are bullshitters? This is exactly why Barsky was like a breath of fresh air. When on the market for our wedding bands, I was looking for an honest, reasonable supplier and after dropping by Elizabeth B.'s aforementioned "competitor" (I see you, Mr. S.) I was somewhat discouraged. On my first visit to Barsky, E.B.B. and I were greeted by Chris P. who was extremely helpful in selecting my wedding band. I dropped in to see if they had the match for my engagement ring (they did) but Chris took the time to show me as many rings as it took until I found the one that worked. Since they don't work on commission, there was no pressure to buy right then and there. My fiancee and I returned a few weeks later to purchase my ring and his wedding band as well (also a good deal for an item that lived up to our expectations). We couldn't locate the exact item # that he had written down on my first visit, but we found something I liked, dare I say, even better and were able to purchase it for the same price. Chris even offered to customize the ring and removed the "European backing" (ring jargon) for me with no additional charge to make it perfect. I now have both rings stashed away safely in my underwear drawer and I am busting at the seams to wear mine forever and ever. If you're even considering heading down to Jeweler's Row, do yourself a favor and bypass all others and go to Barsky first. They have an enormous selection of wedding bands and, although I didn't venture that deep into the store, they have plenty of inventory to meet all of your needs."

We went to Barsky very early in our process of buying an engagement ring. The owner himself welcomed us and gave us a full education on diamonds. There was absolutely NO PRESSURE INVOLVED! The store is huge with many sales people and a giant inventory so I expected to go to battle, be pressured, or feel overwhelmed but I have a very personal and intimate experience. It was great to see the inventory because it allows you to make decicions on what you like and do not like. At the end of our meeting with the owner, he took none of my information to pester me later (which another place did pester me almost every day). He educated me on diamonds and the metals used in the ring. At the end he gave me a few prices on this we liked and told me to come back when I was ready. He was very honest and friendly. Although I did not buy from Barsky, it was mostly because we found a diamond we really like from another store. The prices were pretty competitive, only slightly more expensive then other places we looked. No pressure tactics at all! I would have no problem recommending Barsky to friends as it was a surprisingly good experience for such a large store. Plus they are open on Sundays which is awesome!!!

Had my rings cleaned and polished here just prior to Xmas. Such lovely people and great service. Ray Feldman, sadly, has passed away and he will be missed. So glad we bought a platinum wedding band here. We love and trust Barsky's.

Today was my first day on Jeweler's Row in Philly. Barsky was my first stop. Although I did not buy any diamonds here the service was outstanding. I visited 3 other shops and Barsky's were the only ones who took out the diamond chart and took the time to explain to me about clarity and color. All the other shops barely paid attention to me. I was price shopping so I cannot comment on Barsky prices.

I bought my wife's engagement ring here back in 2005, and they were awesome. Mr. Barsky himself sold me the ring, and the pricing on it was great. I don't want to say how much, since my wife is on Yelp, but suffice it to say, it was 2/3 the cost of the other places on Sansom, and twice the product. I had gone to several of the stores in the area that day, and even put down deposits on several rings, but promptly went back to cancel the deposits after going here. Anyway, I bought her a beautiful princess cut diamond with a platinum custom band, and everything about their service was great. They kept me abreast of the production process, and let me know when to pick it up. When we had to buy out wedding rings, we looked around, but came back to Barsky in the end. My wife got a platinum diamond band, and I got a tungsten band. Both were ready promptly and again, we had great service.

My husband and I shopped around when we were looking for an engagement ring. A bunch of our friends had gone to Barsky's and we decided we would check it out. Within the first few moments after entering the store, I knew we would be getting my rings there. The quality and uniqueness of all their jewelry was so impressive. The sales team was so helpful, friendly and not pushy at all. My husband ended up designing an engagement ring for me with one of the salesmen and it is beautiful. We went back to have them design a wedding band that would work well with the engagement ring. No matter where we go, I get compliments on my rings all the time (even though they really need a good cleaning!!!) and I always tell people where they came from. My husband was very impressed with their competitive pricing and the quick turn around time for the designing. In the future, if I need a new piece of quality jewelry, this is where I will be shopping. Thank you!!!!!

You only get married to the person you love once, hopefully, so when you buy your ring, it has to be special. There are so many jewelers who capitalize on the wedding business, and they forget what the ring symbolizes to the buyer. Everyone is different and deserves something that is unique to them. An engagement ring is the least frivolous jewelry purchase in anyone's lifetime. That being said, I promised a close friend of mine that I would go to Barsky first when we embarked on our ring shopping expedition. Thank you, S! We didn't need to go anywhere else. The process was actually very informative and enjoyable. Barsky helped us create the perfect ring for me. The video here is a perfect example of how the process is, at Barsky. My ring is gorgeous, and I am happy to send all my ring-admirers to Barsky. There is a good reason that Barsky has been around for over 100 years, and will probably be around for a hundred more

We bought a setting from you on Friday, November 23 under the last name Dyson. I am attaching a copy of the certificate for the center stone so that you may write an entire appraisal. Please let me know if there is anything else you need. Also, I would just like to send a HUGE thank you to your staff. We decided to come to jewelers row because we did not want to purchase a setting at a "mall" store. When we got into the area we were extremely overwhelmed by the amount of stores. There were some gentleman outside who asked if we would like to come in. Normally I would be hesitant of this situation, as most times salesman are just looking to make a commission. When we were notified that it was not a commission based store I felt more at ease. Chris helped us look at some settings and he was very patient with me as I contemplated all of them!! Needless to say I found the perfect one:) Not only was the sales staff helpful, but when I asked Chris if I could get it done by the end of the day, he checked with the men in the back and sure enough they said they could get it to me in a couple of hours! When I picked up the completed ring, I actually started crying in the store, which was a little embarrassing, but worth it. I have gotten many compliments on the ring and every time I see it, it puts a smile on my face. I was extremely pleased with the service at your store, not only will I be recommending Barsky's to family and friends, but we will definitely be purchasing our wedding bands there!
